I have been a licensed Radio Amateur since 1968; I’ll let you do the math to determine how long that has been. My original callsign which I still hold is G3YAQ. I was introduced to ham radio by a colleague Ted G3PNU. He was my elmer and CW instructor and in his honour I am carrying on the tradition.
